As I did not want to walk far from the train station as I had my elderly mother with me, decided to go with this hotel. I must say I made the right choice, the hotel is less than 10min walk from the Hakone Yumoto station but one would need to note that the hotel name is in Japanese / Chinese so best to do a google map search to get the directions right. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and accommodating, though most of the staff do not speak English they each tried their best to provide the service, at times had to use the google translator to communicate which was not an issue. We opt for the private onsen room with half board meals, they were both excellent - meals wise - dinner was always something I look forward to, it was traditional jap cuisine. They have both indoor and outdoor onsen, which was great, the outdoor onsen had views of the mountain which is pleasant and relaxing to look at. Overall, had a pleasant stay

Great location. This town is the perfect base to explore the hakone area. You can easily get a train here from Odawara station. From here you can train all the way up the mountain to the ropeway, super easy. The town is also big enough that it has a few options to eat, not a ton. HIGHLY recommend going to the brewery for dinner or before or after dinner. They have great beer and really good food. There’s also gelato in town that is life changing. The hotel has 2 hot spring areas- men and women are separated. Men’s hot springs on the 2nd floor was huge and had 2 indoor hot tubs and 3 outdoor. It was not busy when I was there. It’s a very unique experience if you are American. No clothes allowed at all. Also they do not allow people with tattoos in the hot springs, I didn’t see that anywhere before arriving, so be aware of that if that applies to you. The room was massive and had 2 full bathrooms for some reason.

The location is fantastic. Our room was overlooking the river and when opening the window has this nice white noise of the water flow in the room. It is a traditional style hotel and I liked using the onsen for the very first time. They also provide a Yakuta(traditional Japanese clothing) for you to wear around the hotel which gives a nice experience. The public facility around the area was clean. We were welcomed to the hotel by an English speaking gentleman and kimono wearing hostesses which was a plus as it helps communicating clearly and what to expect during the stay. We had taken the complete meal package so tried tradition dinner and breakfast at the hotel(please keep in mind this is traditional food and includes lots of raw meat and fish and may not suit everyone’s palate).

Absolutely fantastic hotel, less than a minute walk of the bus stop and less than 5 from the train station beautiful view and lots of artisanal shops. Loved the onsens all size and shapes, indoors and outdoors. Our room was so big and spacious my group could spread out. The bathrobe, beds, slippers, and local pub and restaurant, everything was beautiful. And most of all the staff was superb 👌🏾 super nice and helpful, reassured us and kept us informed of the typhoon heading our way then, so nice when it was raining on our check out time they gave us their umbrella and we had a few people in Tokyo asking us about it so it was fun. Thank you again and will definitely recommend!

The location of the accommodation is very close to the train station and has an incredible view of the river and the mountain. The private dining space was incredible as was the traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast. The staff at the restaurant were very friendly and provided the menu in English. The common room is large and very calm, I hardly crossed paths with any other guests. The traditional Japanese room was large and very comfortable.
